Re: Proposed parking restriction at Honolii Beach Park
We would like to offer our support for this proposal with the understanding that some
parking will remain available for fishermen and other legitimate users of the park.
The nighttime noise from Honolii, particularly the pounding base from cranked up
stereos, keeps us awake frequently, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights.
Squealing tires, fireworks and even gunshots are not uncommon. We understand that
young people like to gather and enjoy their music and fun, and in the early evening this is
not a problem. It is a different situation, however, when the gathering and noise take
place at two or three in the morning. For the sake of these young folk as well as for our
nighttime peace, we ask that this proposal be passed.
