RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR A MULTI-
YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAVI
POLICE DEPARTMENT WAREHOUSE IN KEA'AU, DISTRICT OF PUNA.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other
obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one
fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department ("HPD") requires expanded warehouse
capabilities and desires to lease approximately 7,440 square feet of a warehouse situated in Kea`au,
County and State of Hawaii, from Milo Storage LLC ("Landlord"); and
WHEREAS, HPD desires to enter into a multi-year lease agreement which is anticipated to
commence on July 1, 2023, for a five-year term, with the option to renew the lease for two (2)
additional five (5)year terms with Landlord; and
WHEREAS, HPD is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease
agreement with Landlord for this warehouse space; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
Honorable Mitchell Roth, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-
year lease with Milo Storage LLC, for a five-year term with options as indicated above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to
cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the amended Lease.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to:
(1) Mayor Mitchell Roth; (2)the Department of Finance; (3)the County of Hawaii Police

Department; (4)the Office of the Corporation Counsel and (5) Milo Storage LLC, 216 Keystone
Street, Burbank, CA 91506.
