RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 388-22 AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAI‘I
WHEREAS, Resolution 168-21, adopted on July 21, 2021, was amended by Resolution 388-22, which was adopted on May 18, 2022 in accordance with section 46-7, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, authorized
the Mayor to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement and related documents with the University of Hawai‘i to fund the “Kuleana Health” project; and
WHEREAS, the recitals to Resolution 388-22 made reference to provide up to $200,000 to the University of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development would like to increase the amount to $447,500; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development requests that all references in Resolution 388-22 to indicate the funding amount “up to $200,000” be amended to funding “up to $447,500”;
now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 388-22 be, and hereby is, amended to reflect all references of $200,000 to be identified instead as $447,500.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Department of Research and Development
and the Department of Finance.
