Good afternoon,
I would like to request that the following items be addressed in this bill.This should be a hard commitment to include
these as part of the bill.
-Humane animal population management, including spay/neuter
-Transparency and reporting of all shelter and pound operations activities &budget
- Reinstate the monthly Shelter Activity Report
-Creation of an ongoing oversight committee to create and maintain the responsibilities and policy SOPs
These items need to be addressed in order to build trust and ensure transparency.There is no reason why a County-run
animal control should not be held to the same standards as the previous agreement with the humane society, and
quarterly reports should still be required.
Please take this into consideration at the hearing tomorrow. Our animals deserve better! C-
