I support this.The effort to protect residents from the effects of the crazy real estate market was well intentioned, but
left many of us out in the cold.This Bill would help.
Ideally, the Council will go on to carefully consider the basis upon which assessed values are determined. It is my
understanding that replacement costs for materials go into the calculation,which makes no sense. Here again,
transparency and accountability are lacking.
This Bill makes me cautiously optimistic that perhaps it is not the County's intention to squeeze every drop of blood
possible out of its constituents.
