Aloha,
I am strongly OPPOSED to the proposed change to in Bill 18 to give preference to county employees for
affordable housing.
County employees receive good pay and benefits. They should not be qualifying for affordable housing. If
they are, they are not paid appropriately.
They already qualify as full time residents and earn 75% of their income in the county. Why should they
get even more preferential treatment?
This is NOT RIGHT! Why are you taking something away from the public who pays taxes and giving
preference to employees paid for with my tax dollars?
County employees should get in line like everyone else. WHY should they get preference over other
residents?
