Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Kevin R. Seiter of Kona to the Hawaii County
Kailua Village Design Commission to replace Charles R. Cartwright of Kona,
whose term will expire on December 31, 1999.
Mr. Seiter is an 18-year resident of Hawaii, and since 1975 has been self-
employed as an attorney-at-law.
If approved, Mr. Seiter will serve a term to end on December 31, 2002. Should
the Council have any questions regarding this nomination, you may call me at
your convenience.

Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the54

Commission, waiving said referral from the Committee of Planning in order that
appropriate action can betaken by the Council.
