COUNTY OF A t `' ` STATE OF HAWAI'l <br /> '9PP •�F'Np� <br /> RFE <br /> SOLUTIO NO. -97 23 <br /> RESOLUTION THOIZI THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATERFISCAL YEAR N F MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR MULTI-YEAR ML ENT CONTRACTS FO <br /> DEPARTMENT F RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts to implement a strategic and multi-faceted plan to expand <br /> access to affordable and high-quality childcare and education for Hawaii Island <br /> keiki; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts, for the following positions: Early Childhood Resource <br /> Coordinator and Early Childhood Resource Associate; and <br /> WHEREAS, these employment contracts will not exceed an end date of <br /> December 31, 2026; and <br /> WHEREAS, these employment contracts will be funded with American <br /> Rescue Plan Act funds provided to the County; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts as indicated above, for the Department of <br /> Research and Development. <br />
