Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Richard Rego of District 5 to the Fire Commission.
Mr. Rego is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. He is a graduate of Damien Memorial High School
and attended New York City College of Technology where he studied auto mechanics. He has
been a Hawaii State licensed contractor since 1992.
Mr. Rego has served on the Cost of Government Commission,the Environmental Management
Commission, and the Salary Commission. He has also dedicated 27 years of volunteer service as
a Volunteer Fire Captain for the County of Hawaii. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending
December 31, 2027.
