GOEAC-5 March 7,2023 Comm. 114: NOMINATION OF CLINTON LEWE-SONG TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS From Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated February 15, 2023, requesting the Council's review and confirmation. Requires Council Confirmation by: March 31, 2023 (Section 13-4(k), Hawaii County Charter) Vote on Comm. 114: Ms. Lee Loy moved to recommend confirmation of the (Approved) nomination of Mr. Clinton Lewe-Song to the Board of Appeals. Seconded by Ms. Kierkiewicz and carried by the following voice vote: Ayes: Committee Members Galimba, Inaba, Kagiwada, Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Kimball, Lee Loy, Villegas, and Chair Evans —9. Requires Council Confirmation by: March 31, 2023 (Section 13-4(k), Hawaii County Charter) Vote on Comm. 117: Ms. Kagiwada moved to recommend confirmation of the (Approved) nomination of Ms. Laura Acasio to the Environmental Management Commission. Seconded by Ms. Kierkiewicz and carried by the following voice vote: Ayes: Committee Members Galimba, Inaba, Kagiwada, Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Kimball, Lee Loy, Villegas, and Chair Evans —9. Roth, dated February 15, 2023, requesting the Council's review and confirmation. Requires Council Confirmation by: March 31, 2023 (Section 13-4(k), Hawaii County Charter) (Note: At this time, the nominee Dawn Raymond and Liquor Control Administrative Officer Brandon Gonzalez came forward to address the members of the Committee.) MR. GONZALEZ: Good morning, I'm Brandon Gonzalez, the Administrative Officer for the Department of Liquor Control, and I would just like to briefly say that the department fully supports this nomination, and we look forward to continue having Dawn as part of our team.
