HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 117 Draft 01 2022-2024 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT TO ADD A COMMAND CENTRAL COMMUNITY MODULE TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S CURRENT RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i, Police Department wishes to enter into a new five (5) year, multi-year agreement with Motorola.; and WHEREAS, this agreement provides for the addition of a “Command Central Community” module to the Police Department’s current records management system; and WHEREAS, this module will allow the implementation of “on-line reporting” in which individuals may report minor crimes and non-crimes on-line; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year agreement for the “Command Central Community” module as described above, for the Police Department. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, Police Department, and the Finance Department.
