A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATION OF A 2012 ACURA TSX FROM THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING
ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, the State of Hawai‘i Department of the Attorney General is donating a 2012 Acura TSX to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this vehicle, with an estimated value of $9,000, will be utilized by the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for law enforcement purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai‘i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities,
or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a)
of the Hawai‘i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai‘i accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, the Department of Finance, and the Office of Management.
