COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ N" '� • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • ATF <br /> ................M►' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 101 23 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOLUALOA <br /> FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CULTURE TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS <br /> DONKEY MILL ART CENTER EXHIBITION PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS,the Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that provides art programs and education for children and adults of all ages and <br /> abilities at the Donkey Mill Art Center in Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Donkey Mill Art Center is a community art center serving the West <br /> Hawai`i community and local schools through hands-on classes, exhibitions, and events <br /> showcasing contemporary arts, crafts, and culture; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture is requesting funds to assist <br /> with expenses for programs and exhibition supplies such as framing,painting, carpentry, and <br /> artist-led youth workshops related to the Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support public <br /> and youth programs that promote educational activities in a drug- and alcohol-free environment, <br /> such as the Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture to assist with <br /> expenses for its Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
