Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 81-23,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 81-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 163
dated March 16, 2023, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease of real property for the County of Hawai`i Police Department
warehouse in Kea'au, District of Puna.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an option to extend
for two additional five-year terms with Milo Storage LLC, for approximately 7,440 square feet of
warehouse space.
Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked Police Sergeant Nelson Acob to provide a brief
overview.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, the Mayor of the County of Hawai`i is authorized to
execute, on behalf of the County,this and all future agreements and related documents with Milo
Storage LLC.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 81-23, and
recommends its adoption.
