Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 82-23,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 82-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 164
dated March 16, 2023, amends Resolution No. 388-22 authorizing the Office of the Mayor to enter into
an agreement with the University of Hawai`i.
This resolution seeks to increase the funding amount for the Kuleana Health project by $247,500 for a
total of$447,500.
Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked Research and Development Director
Douglass Adams to provide a brief overview. Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder added that members of the
University of Hawai`i provided testimony in support of this measure.
There was no further discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 82-23, and
recommends its adoption.
