Pursuant to Ordinance 94-8, Providing For Enterprise Zones
Within the County of Hawaii, the attached resolution regarding
the designation of an enterprise zone in North Kohala is
submitted for consideration and approval by the Hawaii County
Council.
This designation is for a new enterprise zone in North Kohala,
an area which is qualified to have enterprise zones under
Chapter 209E of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. We have consulted
with Councilman Leningrad Elarionoff regarding the boundaries
for this zone, and feel that the proposed boundaries would meet
the needs of businesses in North Kohala.
