Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Dorothy Norris of District 8 to the Environmental Management
Commission.
Ms. Norris has been a resident of Hawaii for 7 years. She graduated with honors from San
Diego State University in 1978 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in
Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She has an extensive employment background as a Biologist,
Lab Technician, and Staff Scientist.
Ms. Norris currently volunteers as a Reef Teacher at Kahalu`u Bay for the Kohala Center. She is
also a Supervisor at Ke Kai Ola Monk Seal Hospital. If confirmed, she will serve a term ending
December 31, 2027.
