RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT FOR HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGERY FOR THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i, Police Department wishes to enter into a new four (4) year, multi-year agreement with Pictometry International Corp. dba Eagle View; and
WHEREAS, this agreement provides authorized personnel from the Hawai‘i Police Department and the Hawai‘i Fire Department with the ability to access the latest imagery of subdivisions,
businesses, developments, and roadways around the Island of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, this high-resolution imagery will allow Police and Fire to conduct their jobs more effectively and efficiently; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a four (4) year agreement for access to the high-resolution imagery, as described above, for the Police Department.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, Police Department, and the Finance Department.
