Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs,to which was referred
Communication No. 185, reports as follows:
Communication No. 185,transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated March 30, 2023,
requests the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Eric P. Gee to the Youth
Commission.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Kona Chambers to
introduce Mr. Gee, who was present via videoconference.
Pursuant to Article 5, Chapter 3, Section 5-3.4(a) of the Hawai`i County Charter, the Mayor may
appoint up to six members who are residents of the County.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 185, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Eric P. Gee to the Youth Commission.
