Dear Chairman Araka 'i and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to su mit the nomination of Dwight K. Manago of Council
District 7 to the Hawaii County Police Commission to replace Deborah L. Baker
of Council District 7, w ose term will expire on December 31, 1999.
Mr. Manago is a lifetim resident of Hawaii and since 1984, has been the
manager of the Manag Hotel, Inc. He states that he has no political party
affiliation.
If approved, Mr. Mana o will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004. Should
the Council have any questions regarding this nomination, you may call me at
