a!t�'®F°•'1?ty <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAVI STATE OF HAWAVI <br /> orf 60;F <br /> 'i <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION I IENTER <br /> AGREEMENT WITHH CITY OF LANCASTER AND NAMIE <br /> TOWN PURSUANT TO HRS 6-7, TO FORM THE PACIFIC <br /> HYDROGEN ALLIANCE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development wishes to enter <br /> into an agreement between the City of Lancaster, a California municipal <br /> corporation and charter city, Namie Town, in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan and the <br /> County of Hawaii, a Hawaii municipal corporation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this agreement will establish the "Pacific Hydrogen Alliance" <br /> (PHA) where parties will work together to implement hydrogen project deployment <br /> to advance towards a hydrogen society; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that county <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br /> County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County an agreement, <br /> and related documents with the City of Lancaster and Namie Town for the purposes <br /> specified above. <br />
