Aloha,
I am on the Board of Directors for Domestic Violence Hurts Animals and People. Our Board is excited about the
opportunity to provide shelter to outside dogs throughout our island community.
There are outside pet dogs living in difficult conditions islandwide who would benefit from having shelter from the rain
and sun. Wood shop students would also benefit from the program by learning how to build the shelters and gaining a
sense of accomplishment for doing something important to help pet dog's families who can't afford to supply shelter.

This program also uses wood pallets that are unused all over the island helping to teach the students the benefits of
recycling.
