Subject: Kahalu'u sewer preparation line item
Aloha. We are among the many community members who snorkel at Kahalu'u frequently, in our
case for the past twenty years. It is essential that this precious resource be protected from sewage
pollution! We both strongly urge you to include a line item for Kahalu'u Bay with ample funding in
the 2023-2024 budget to pay for an Environmental Impact Statement or an Environmental
Assessment and engineering plans to get this one mile of sewer line "shovel-ready", to apply for
federal and state funding. Thank you for agreeing that it's time to move forward with this long-
needed project!
