Subject: Support of Bill 194
Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I humbly ask for your support in passing bill 194 and ask that you vote in favor of overriding Mayor Roth's veto. When it
comes to land development, rezoning applications, and decisions that directly effect the housing crisis and displacement
of local people and native Hawaiians, it should not be in the hands of a single person. It should rather be a public process
and include the members of that community.
Without this measure, special interests, developers and corporations, can continue to influence the use of the land on
our island with little care to the housing crisis and all of those who are affected by their development projects.
Please, I urge you to allow our community members to have a voice in this matter and to give us the opportunity/power
to do what is Pono when it comes to the development of our land. Please pass Bill 194 again.
Mahalo, ti
