Subject: Bill 194
Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
This testimony is in support of Bill 194 and I humbly ask for your support in passing this bill. I ask that you vote in favor
of overriding Mayor Roth's veto. It is imperative that the decision to allow rezoning extensions (along with many other
protocols currently set in place) not rest with one individual but rather be a public process where you as our district
representatives as well as the community have input.Without this measure, special interests namely developers and
corporations can continue to influence land use on our island directly contributing to the housing crisis and
displacement of local people and Native Hawaiians. Please, I urge you to put the power back into your hands that will be
influenced by the mana'o of our community members. Please pass Bill 194 again. ,"
