Subject: Support for Bill 194
Dear Hawai'i County Council Members,
Please override Mayor Roth's veto of Bill 194. Bill 194 is extremely well thought out and alleviates a major problem of
concentrating too much decision authority in a single administrative position in the County.
As witnessed last year with Affordable Housing Credits in Hawai'i County,there is a lot of money in real estate development
that can and has led to fraud,corruption and influence peddling. The County Council with its full transparency in decision
making will assure that zoning extensions on this island are done above the table and without undue influence.
Please pass Bill 194 again to ensure pono land decisions on Hawai'i Island.
