Subject: I support Bill 194
Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I am writing in strong support of Bill 194. I ask that you vote in favor of overriding Mayor Roth's veto.
Bill 194 increases transparency by making zoning extensions a public process rather than an administrative
one with little to no accountability to the public and to the law.Without this measure,special interests can
continue to influence land use on our island and we will continue to struggle with increasing land prices and
housing availability.
I also feel that our elected County Council members are more supportive and informed of what we the
residents want.A single Mayor appointed official does not know what the residents want and instead of just
one person deciding I am fully in favor and in support of bill 194.
Please support our voice and pass Bill 194 again.
