{3 <br /> i <br /> VN�OYf®F 14 <br /> COUNTY OF G t; ;tSTATE OF G <br /> ,tAp•, Na MO'':''�� I <br /> A,.'�•f.µ�yi <br /> ESLTION NO. 171 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING A APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WITH EXPENSES RELATING TO THE BIG ISLAND JUNIOR LIFEGUARD <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department, Ocean Safety, is tasked with the development <br /> and delivery of ocean safety operations and public safety education programs, utilizing a team of <br /> highly skilled and dedicated Water Safety Officers to maintain safety services,promote <br /> preventative actions, and facilitate basic emergency life support functions; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Hawaii Fire Department's Big Island Junior Lifeguard Program <br /> teaches participants ocean safety and beach rescue skills, including an introduction to water <br /> safety, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), and surf rescue techniques; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department is requesting funds to assist with expenses <br /> related the Big Island Junior Lifeguard Program; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department to assist with expenses related to the Big Island Junior Lifeguard Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $10,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $10,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.221.6228.07 Hawaii Fire Department $10,000 <br /> Ocean Safety Programs <br /> 341 Misc.
