SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 163-23
Attached is a proposed amendment to Resolution No. 163-23. The proposed amendments are
illustrated in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Resolution No. 163-23 (material to
be deleted is bracketed and stricken; material to be added is underscored).
1. The second WHEREAS clause of Resolution No. 163-23 is amended to read as follows:
"WHEREAS, this ,,gfeeffien+] a non-binding memorandum of understanding
will establish the "Pacific Hydrogen Alliance" (PHA)where parties will work together to
share strategies and best practices to implement hydrogen project deployment to advance
towards a hydrogen [society] economy; and"
2. The enacting clause of Resolution No. 163-23 is amended to read as follows:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,
in accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County
of Hawaii is authorized to execute on behalf of the Count + and felate-I

Namie Town for the purposes specified above."
Due to the limited scope of this amendment, a copy of the revised draft of this resolution that
would result if this proposed amendment is adopted is not attached.
