RESOLUTION N
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR REPAIRS AT THE HAWAIIAN ACRES
VOLUNTEER FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, volunteer firefighters are a critical and much needed support team who
assist the Hawaii Fire Department in responding to emergencies; and
WHEREAS, there are four volunteer fire stations with a total of 21 volunteers in Council
District 5; and
WHEREAS,the Hawaii Fire Department has identified the need for repairs to the roof
and the water catchment system at the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department is requesting funds to purchase a new roof and
water catchment system for the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire
Department for costs associated with the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $20,000
CREDITED TO:
010.221.6225.02 Hawaii Fire Department $20,000

Volunteer Fire Station)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Fire Chief and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
