A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR REPAIRS AT THE HAWAIIAN ACRES VOLUNTEER
FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, volunteer firefighters are a critical and much needed support team who assist the Hawaiʻi Fire Department in responding to emergencies; and
WHEREAS, there are four volunteer fire stations with a total of 21 volunteers in Council District 5; and
WHEREAS, the Hawai‘i Fire Department has identified the need for repairs to the roof and the water catchment system at the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department is requesting funds to purchase a new roof and water catchment system for the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Hawaiʻi Fire Department for costs associated
with the Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
