Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Communication No. 258, reports as follows:
Communication No. 258, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated April 13, 2023, requests
the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Thomas G. Wojszynski to the
Veterans Advisory Committee.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Hilo Chambers to
introduce Mr. Wojszynski, who was also present in the Hilo Chambers.
Pursuant to Chapter 15, Article 7, Section 15-61 of the Hawai`i County Code, members of the
Veterans Advisory Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 258, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Thomas G. Wojszynski to the Veterans Advisory Committee.
