Dear Chairwoman Kimball:
Pursuant to HRS § 92-5(a)(4), we request attorney-client confidential discussion, in
executive session, to consult with the County Council on questions and issues pertaining to its
powers, duties,privileges, immunities, and liabilities regarding the above-entitled matter,
including a discussion regarding a litigation filed by Phillip Carey and Paul Hamano, on behalf
of their client, Michael Ontai.
We ask that this case be placed on the Council's June 7, 2023, agenda to discuss matters
requiring County Council approval.
