RE: Attached Bill Relating To Campaign Contributions
Attached you will find a bill which proposes to create a new section in the Hawaii
County Code relating to campaign contributions.
Said bill limits Council Member action on measures that concern individuals and
businesses that contributed $100 or more to the campaign fund of the voting Member.
Also, this bill would make it illegal for elected officials to have any business interest in a
company that does more than $500 of business per year with the County.
