Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Communication No. 277,reports as follows:
Communication No. 277, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated April 28, 2023, requests
the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of James McCully to the Banyan Drive
Hawaii Redevelopment Agency,
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Hilo Chambers to
introduce Mr. McCully, who was not present.
Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder and Ms. Kagiwada expressed their desire to hear from the nominee in
Committee before forwarding the nomination to Council.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 277, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
James McCully to the Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency.
