RESOLUTION NO. 19' 23
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING A APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR ITS RECREATION PROGRAMS IN
COUNCIL DISTRICT 7.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides the public with many
diversified recreation programs in our park facilities and gyms that address the needs and
interests of the community in a safe environment; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii believes that children participating in organized
sports tend to achieve higher results in school, develop excellent interspersonal skills, and lead
healthier lives, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for recreational
equipment, supplies, and other miscellaneous expenses to support educational sports programs
and activities in Councl District 7; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropiated to the Department of Parks
and Recreation to purchase supplies for its educational sports programs and activities in Council
District 7.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $10,150
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $10,150

(Recreational Supplies—Council District 7)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
