THE FUNDS
Dear Council,
In regards to BILL 30, ANIMAL CONTROL BUDGET -- PLEASE, REALLOCATE SOME OF THE
Animal Control SALARY FUNDS TO THE ITEMS suggested by other in the field rescuers and for
animal SPAY/NEUTER programs.
It is doubtful that a full staff will be in place this fiscal year. Putting preventative measures in place will
reduce the number of people and funding needed to run these operations. --Free/low-cost spay and
neuter clinic funding for pets and community animals, matching funds with the non-profits --
Preventative programs for loose, vicious dogs—extra patrols in hot spot areas.
It is EGREGIOUS to have given Animal Control yet ANOTHER ADDED million to their 2 million
budget to make it three let alone to not offer spay/neuter programs -- it's virtually a sick type,of jQb
security for animal control not to offer the community ways to control animal population. wc)c-,
PLEASE REALLOCATE the money that won't be used to hire staff this year!!!
