Aloha,
I hope that this email finds you well. I want to say thank you for doing a great job and with thorough care for Hawaii
County's animals.
It is likely that a full staff will not be in place by this fiscal year. By putting preventative measures in place will reduce the
number of people and funding needed to run these operations.
Please implement--Free/low-cost spay and neuter clinic funding for pets and community animals. By matching funds
with the Hawaii County non-profits to support the ongoing spay and neuter that is greatly needed to get ahead and to
better control the Big Island's over population of animals.
Please also implement preventative programs for loose, vicious dogs—and extra patrols in the hot spot areas.
