Aloha County Council members,
I oppose the proposed Lako Street extension because it will destroy our island's most concentrated and sacred
area. Not a pono process with outdated agreements. Not respectful to the native people of Hawaii.
Please protect and preserve our historical culture while improving infrastructure. They don't have to be mutually
exclusive.
Another concern is that by building the extension, developers will jump at the opportunity to build more housing (I
presume luxury type)for no benefit to our local families.
Consider the impact on our antiquated wastewater disposal system if 1000's of new homes are built.
Please oppose this extension and look for other solutions.
