Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Mr. Keith Unger of District 6 to the Water Board.
As a dedicated resident of the State of Hawaii for over five decades and a committed contributor
to his community, Keith possesses the qualities, experience, and passion necessary to serve in
this important role. After graduating from Hawaii Preparatory Academy in 1975,he went on to
join the esteemed U.S. Naval Academy from 1976-1978.
Keith's academic pursuits culminated in his graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Geology and Geophysics. As a former dedicated Commissioner of the Leeward Planning
Commission and his extensive involvement in various volunteer organizations, I have no doubt
that Keith would excel in this capacity and be an asset to the Water Board. If confirmed, he will
serve a term ending December 31, 2027.
