REPORT OFT <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: June 6, 2023 Re: Comm.No. 310/Res.No. 186-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 186-23, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 186-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 310 <br /> dated May 18, 2023, authorizes the acceptance of all donations of securities or personal property to the <br /> County of Hawaii within the 2023-2024 fiscal year that are not covered by the Department of Finance's <br /> capitalization procedures. <br /> This resolution provides County Council pre-authorization for the County to accept donations that <br /> are not covered by the Finance Department's capitalization procedures for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked Finance Director Deanna Sako to provide <br /> background on this measure.
