SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 44, Draft 2; An Ordinance Amending
Chapter 19, Articles 1 and 7, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition,
as Amended), Relating to Community Food Sustainability Use Assessments
and Nondedicated Agriculture Use Assessments.
Please see the below proposed amendment to Bill No. 44, Draft 2, relating to Community Food
Sustainability Use Assessments and Nondedicated Agriculture Use Assessments. The amendment
is shown in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 44, Draft 2; material to be
deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored.
SECTION 9 of Bill No. 44, Draft 2 is amended by amending the effective date to read as
follows:
"This ordinance shall take effect [July 1, 2023.1 July 31, 2023."
Due to the limited scope of the proposed amendment, a copy of the draft of this bill,that would
result if the amendment is adopted, is not attached.
