Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Gregory Henkel to the Puna Community Development Plan, Action
Committee.
Gregory has been a resident of Hawaii for 35 years. He graduated from South Mecklenburg
High School and attended Appalachian State University, coupled with his training at the U.S.
Army Rotary Wing Flight School. He brings a diverse perspective and valuable insights to the
action committee.
Gregory's current role as a STEAM instructor at Connections Public Charter School and the
Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science reflects his passion for education and nurturing the next
generation of learners. His contribution as a volunteer with the County of Hawaii Fire
Commission and his service on the Windward Planning Commission demonstrates his
commitment to public service and community engagement. If confinned, he will serve a term
ending December 31, 2027.
