I am pleased to nominate Jennifer Scheffel to the Puna Community Development Plan, Action
Committee.
Jennifer's educational achievements, including a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of
Applied Geography, indicate her strong academic foundation and expertise in environmental
planning. With over 22 years of experience as an environmental planner, she possesses valuable
skills and knowledge that can help guide the committee's decisions towards sustainable and
responsible development.
Jennifer is a resident of Puna with four generations of family in the area. Her volunteer work
with the Big Island Electric Vehicle Association showcases her dedication to promoting
sustainable practices and reducing environmental impact. If confirmed, she will serve a term
ending December 31, 2027.
