RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION EXTENDING ONE (1) TEMPORARY POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, position OO-05145 (Economic Development Specialist III (TEMP) was created via resolution 159-21 on July 7, 2021, when the County of Hawaiʻi was awarded federal funding from
the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to implement the “Kuleana Health” program; and
WHEREAS, the funding for this position was originally scheduled to end on June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2023, the County received a no-cost extension (NCE) to the HSS grant in order to extend funding for an additional three (3) months from July 1, 2023 through September
30, 2023 for the position indicated above; and
WHEREAS, the funding for this position during this time will be through the NCE to the HSS grant (0.4 FTE), with the balance (0.6 FTE) coming from County funds; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that position OO-05145, in the Department of Research and Development be maintained for an additional three (3) months, from July
1, 2023 through September 30, 2023 with funding as indicated above; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor and the Departments of Finance, Research and Development and Human Resources.
