Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 55, reports as follows:
Bill No. 55,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 360 dated June 29,
2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill increases revenues in Federal Grants—High Intensity Impact Grant account($27,100); and
appropriates the same to the High Intensity Impact Grant account. These additional funds would be
used by the Hawaii Police Department for overtime,travel,training, services, and equipment needed for
operations to investigate drug related cases.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 55, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
