Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs,to which was referred
Communication No. 353, reports as follows:
Communication No. 353,transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated June 29, 2023, requests
the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Jason Eisert to the Tax Board of
Review.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Hilo Chambers to
introduce Mr. Eisert,who was also present via videoconference.
Pursuant to Chapter 19,Article 12, Section 19-96 of the Hawai`i County Code, members of the
Tax Board of Review shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 353, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Jason Eisert to the Tax Board of Review.
