Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 60, reports as follows:
Bill No. 60, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako via Communication No. 381 dated July 14,
2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai`i for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Climate Pollution Reduction Grant account
($350,000); and appropriates the same to the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant account to develop a
Priority Climate Action Plan and a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan in coordination with the State
Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 60, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
