Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 212-23, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 212-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 382
dated July 14, 2023, extends one temporary position for the Department of Research and Development.
This resolution seeks to extend the Economic Development Specialist III position for an
additional three months to oversee Kuleana Health program activities and complete associated
reports.
Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked Research and Development Director
Douglass Adams to provide a brief overview.
Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz asked Mr. Adams if his team would be willing to
present a report on this program and to detail what they learned with this program,their successes
and challenges; also, how we could continue this work. Mr. Adams stated that he would be
excited to share that information with the committee when they have it.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 212-23, and
recommends its adoption.
