I <br /> i <br /> E <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> t <br /> JNty oc x?h. { <br /> dA:�s uw ae;•p� s <br /> 4tE OP°e+P� 1 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAN STATE OF HAWAII <br /> I1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 22.04 23 <br /> { <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TOA <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO GOING HOME <br /> HAWAII FOR EXPENSES RELATING TO ITS REENTRY & RESTORATION <br /> SUMMIT IN KAILUA-KONA. <br /> WHEREAS, Going Nome Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to <br /> the health and wellness of justice-involved individuals and to lowering the recidivism rate on <br /> Hawaii Island by assisting with reintegration into community life through employment, housing, <br /> education, and appropriate services; and <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i's Reentry & Restoration Summit is convening <br /> advocates for justice-involved individuals, government leaders, and experts in their fields to <br /> discuss supportive housing, healthcare, career advancement, equity, and community safety on <br /> August 23, 2023, in Kailua-Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawaii is requesting funds for the audio and visual expense <br /> relating to its Reentry & Restoration Summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is to improve the <br /> criminal justice system by identifying areas of need and working collaboratively with other <br /> criminal justice agencies and the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Going Home Hawaii for expenses relating to its <br /> Reentry & Restoration Summit in Kailua-Kona. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
